The Industrial Revolution and Its Effects

France and England became so successful following this model that they actually began to ask themselves a couple of questions. The Europeans, the medieval Europeans in some sense sat in the shadow of Rome up until the industrial and scientific revolutions which came very, very much at the end. All of a sudden Western society took over or lapped the Rome, went beyond Rome within 100, 200 years. It was super fast. And the populations just went nuclear, went absolutely insane.
