The Importance of a Live Vocalist

I taught a live vocalist to do all the features. There's no vocals on track apart from like BVs and stuff. I'm triggering a bunch of loops building the song in live thing. But when you do songs on the album with Damon or ASAP Rocky or whatever, that everyone's going to want to hear and they're not there. Then what?
