How to Run Downtime in Dungeons and Dragons
The Dungeon Masters guide and the players handbook both have downtime activities. One of the things you can do is customize your downtime activities for the characters. Design your adventures around what they're doing. Have an event occur that occurs, then use it as a base idea to run a strong session.
