The Fatimid Caliphate
The Fatimids were ideological rivals of the Sunni Islam Abbasids. Their ultimate goal was to take control of the entire Muslim Caliphate and promote their own style of Islam. The Fatimids utilise Berbers as slave military and also sub-Saharan Africans otherwise referred to in historical documents as black Africans as slave military. When the Fatimid Caliphate found that they were victims of drought and subsequent famine not only would this cause dissent between the slaves but it would also create conflict between the ethnic slave groups with each other.
