Sexual selection is almost like a tool we used to guide our own evolution. The rules of the am for the social network, whatever it may be, are constantly changing. We want those around us to play within them so we can lower our own cognitive burden and deal with uncertainty. It's unusually human to put so much of our sexual selection focus on these kind of ethical attributes.
