The Hawthorn Study and the Psychology of Interviews
The greatest improvements took place when the workers were allowed to have a say in the manipulations of the rest periods. What they had inadvertently touched upon was a sense of belonging to a team and of empowerment within the specific context. The interview programme is outlined in great detail and with great precision, including a protocal which to day we may take for granted, but that was ly novel for that time. This deftly shows a good level of inter disciplinarity with the fields of psychology and adopts an approach based on the stream ofn osness.
