How Much Are You Bothered When You Have a Tracking Dog?
When we have done that kind of older style of training where we're just running and hiding with the more experienced dogs, I've had it happen so many times. And people who never use treats on the ground, they don't run into that because it's always about what's at the end. Some of the really good dogs will enjoy the process so much that the tracking becomes or the trailing becomes self-reinforcing. Just being right is like enough for them. We call that dysfunctional.
