The Paradox of Learning How to Perform Under Pressure

There's this interesting kind of paradox here, which is that like you have to learn how to get better under pressure and also it's really unclear how that happens. So nobody is born a fully functional ER doctor. It just doesn't happen. And so the role of reflection on these experiences and being able to deconstruct them as I think is the essential difference between some of the outcomes that we see.
