If you're in the city, the ideal place to pull over is on to private property. You want to deny the police officer the right to search your car if there's some kind of warrant out for your arrest. Pull over into a safe location away from traffic so th tt the police officer can be relaxed. What i do is i leave the car on put the car in park, i turn on the interior lights at night especially so that the police Officer can see into the vehicle.
