Doyle, a Sceptic, and a Believer in the Supernatural
O doyle had hoped to get a photograph of his son, who had died the year before. He did succeed in getting an image of a man looking about eight years younger than his son was when he died. But this image was not persuasive enough for doyle to count it as substantive evidence of hope's parnormal skill. O doyle tended to be yoo the surtof like, unfortunately, the gullible believer no matter how ridiculous the phenomenon.
