GAP Shares Surge on Improvement in Gross Margins
GAP shares up about 15 percent on a surprise profit from a retailer that's struggled under some inventory missteps and executive turnover. Margins did grow 570 basis points thanks to lower freight costs and less markdowns. Guidance though mixed over second quarter revenue expectations, but full year sales are reaffirmed.
