The rate of exploitation is that gap between how much your labor is worth and what the finished product is sold at. In a capitalist system, this has to be less than the value of the end product or there's no profit. The iron law of institutions is people will do what's best for themselves within the institution rather than doing what'sbest for the institution. A lot of critiques of nonprofit institutions are aimed at maintaining their careers and getting a good salary.
