The Difference Between Black Rose Wars and Guards of Atlantis
Black Rose Wars you want to play for. That's how it tops out, but Guards of Atlantis can go much, much higher than that. The difference I would say is precisely in terms of how the cards work. Black Rose Wars is like hitting the button that immediately gives you the dopamine charge whereas Guards of Atlantis too is more about planning about how to evolve to execute this thing perfectly later on. It requires coordination and it requires a skillful execution of very particular effects. A universe of effects that although huge when considered across all characters tends to be relatively constrained game to game.
