Is It a Sthenia, a Weakness Without an Objective Finding?

If objective weakness is identified, I first consider whether the patient is globally weak. And if not, then you can think of things like a sthenia, which is a subjective sensation of weakness without associated objective findings. It still needs to be explained, worked up and dealt with, but it just puts us on a different road, so to speak. You can also think about conditions that mimic physiologic weakness, such as pain, limiting mobility, or limiting strength.
