The use of near exceptionless mandates smacks of scientific and medical laziness coupled with limited communication of reliable information. A mandate is a it's essentially an intervention by an authority, whether it's a political, a governmental authority or an employer,. So the the mandate is not science. It can and should, if there's going to be a mandate at all, needs to rely upon some science a whether that would justify it or not is a different question.
