Is There a Right or a Wrong?
When we're cutting off from reality, there's some inflation going on. The ego is stamping its foot and saying the world is the way i want it to be. And having this medicinal confrontation with reality is part of the process of the relativization of the ego. We actually are just part of a much larger system of consciousness and perhaps even volition. I also find myself sweeping down a little bit back to the early psychoanalytic movement that the talking cure was,. in many ways, about facing the reality of something that has happened to us without evasion.
