Reaching Out to Loneliness

Loneliness is totally normal when we feel disconnected. Everyone is experiencing it right now. When the inner critic comes up and it says, they're not reaching out to me because they don't want to. The first thing we need is self-compassion. Remember, you're already in threat mode. We're under threat. So if you start criticizing yourself, that threatening feeling increases. Instead say, okay, when are you available? And one of my areas of study is about friendship: this issue of thinking of friendship as an invitation,. That's an imposition makes it so that we don't develop our relationships with our friends at any speed or closeness.
