Is That Truism?
He says that the post modernist use popolysyllabic language, which is to say that words with many syllables, big words, to say very simple things. But then he says that he doesn't understand what they 're saying, and he says that what they're saying is wrong. So he says that they are truisms that are incomprehensible, but are right in their simplicity. Which, as to me, seems totally fair. And it's something that chomsky reluctantly agrees with.
