The Importance of Play in Childhood Development
Sally Kohn: Is there a trust factor here? Do I have to sort of trust that my kid is actually going to go and learn instead of playing computer games or video games all day. She says we sometimes over overestimate the importance of formal schoolwork, especially for younger kids until they hit like sixth grade. But she thinks you don't need to worry about academics at all when it comes to an unschooling experience.
