The U.S. Department of Education announced its intent to rescind the free inquiry rule, which was established in 2020 by then Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos. It's a common sense rule designed to fix an increasingly common problem of campus authorities unjustly pressuring and discriminating against religious student groups. The deadline to comment on this new rule with the Department of Education is Friday, March 24th.
