If you're in the industry long enough and you're on the product development side, especially in the science part of it, you develop a certain cynicism about industry claims. And that doesn't just go for small brands or alternative brands. That goes for the big brands too. I always look at the claim that a product is making your hair ten times stronger as jiggery pokery. It's not really making your hairTen times stronger. They do this tricky test in the lab to show that hair breaks less because the hair is conditioned,. they call that stronger. But there may be no way of knowing how prevalent low molecular weight, high leuronic acid is in skincare
