The Importance of Intervention in Race and Inequality
I was just teaching a class at the University of Austin, which is this new startup university. I did a summer class on race and inequality in America. There were 20 very able students from all over the world who were in the class. Two of them were black. It would have been a completely different discussion of the case in the absence of African Americans. And it would have been different even as the non-black kids talked among themselves.
