Powell: The economy is so strong that it can withstand these radhikes without any collateral damage. He said households have a lot of savings, but we know they don't and are headed lower. But the other reason he said the economy was so strong is because he said that state governments were flush with cash. That's not going to happen for long as interest rates will crush the states' ability to pay their debts.
