Are Lichens Facing Endangerment?

Pollution is one of the most serious threats to the health of lichen. Even in southern california, and this is an area with heavy nitrate pollution, we still have high diversity. Lichens are going to have a tough time anyway. And the next 300 years, as we go through this extinction event we're living through. That's probably the biggest danger i see going on, even in the next hundred years.
