The Krebs Cycle Is the Thing That Produces ATP

The ATP is usually called the universal energy currency. The electrical charge on the membrane is driven by respiration, which is from burning food in oxygen. In bacteria that's electrically charged membrane is used to fix CO2. It's used to take CO2 and convert it into organic molecules. And so the bits that I kind of want you to focus on is not the ATP so much as the carbon dioxide, the hydrogen and the charge on the Membrane. Those are the working parts that really matter.
