The Algorithmic Accountability Act
Rep. Yvette Clark is doing some really interesting work around facial recognition and making sure that it's not being used inappropriately. She has a bill called the Algorithmic Accountability Act that is really groundbreaking. It says that if algorithms are being used to make decisions on people's behalf, these algorithms need to be transparent and we need to be able to audit these algorithms.
