Teachers can help students get back on board with realistic goals. Tear in your lessons really helps, because you can make those adjustments when a kid has really struggled. Being honest with kids up front, maybe not every day. There won't be a every day that you can engage perfectly. But if you're able, i'm not going to hold the past against you.
