Guinness and St Patrick's Day

In Ireland St Patrick's Day is a national holiday and nobody works. In 1971 all pubs were closed because the government was worried people would drink too much. There are more people who consider themselves Irish in America than in Ireland. Guinness give away those hats don't they? That's actually something we will mention later in the show but my theory is because it's also big in America and anything that's big in America unfortunately seems to become popular.
