In high school, he applied to art schools and professional design schools. He didn't get into all of them but ended up going to the Academy of Art in San Francisco. "It's like you put all your heart and soul into the one thing you want to do" After four years at an art school, if you're able to spend $100,000 on a portfolio, you better be able to pay it off as an artist.
