Both artists remarried, but still remained extremely close friends. Liseraga's children often visited Remedios Varro's home for extended afternoons filled with drawing and making collages. Their families even supported each other's art careers, too. There's one lovely story where Liseraga’s then-wife, nicknamed Ikerne, offered advice to a very nervous Remedios who was about to show her paintings in a group exhibition of an artwork collective.
