Cameron's First Directorial Debut, the Terminator

Cameron made his directorial debut in 1982 with Piranha 2. He got fired from that Jaws rip off a week into filming. The Terminator, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton, jump-started Cameron's career. It was the first time the world saw the skills the Ontario-Canada Native sharpened while working for legendary producer Roger Korman in the 70s.
