The Importance of Learning Executive Function Skills as Children

We learn executive function skills as children. If you were raised in an environment where you didn't receive this learning and were able to kind of mirror your parents' executive function skills, then it's highly likely that you might struggle with that too. And just like we explored a moment ago, sure, Executive dysfunction can also stem from things like Alzheimer's or traumatic brain injury. But I think more and more people are being diagnosed with ADHD and other disorder labels simply due to the fact that they experienced trauma in their past.
