The Footprints of Trackway a Don't Match Lucy's Foot Bones
The prints were found in Laitoli, Italy. They don't match the foot bones of Lucy Australopithecus afferentis which was thought to be the only hominin species alive at the time. The scientists couldn't rule out the possibility that they could have been left by a different kind of hominin.
