Chandigarh: The Poster Child of City Planning
In India, we simultaneously have too much state and too little state in the sense that the state is not there when it comes to public good services infrastructure. So what ends up happening in India is that places like Chandigarh and New Delhi, which according to me are terrible cities, or terribly planned cities, are actually beacons of functional city planning.
