The Differences Between Credit Unions and Local Banks
In Australia, our local credit unions who only lend money to members are the type of bank we're looking for. Would these be similar to the type of local banks you're talking about using? I have never been to Australia, but I did do an article a number of years back on the national insurance that's the comparable Australian counterpart to FDIC. And it was quite a similar system. Credit unions are owned by their members. So they're not making decisions based on what owners want. You've completely eliminated the risk of a downfall in the stock price.
