The Importance of Appropriate Penalties
There's no question that the statement, the comment, inflammatory, improper and wrong. The issue is what should the penalty be? Is it appropriate to just get rid of someone because they make a mistake? Or do you have them atone for that mistake by having a significant penalty... I think a million dollars might do that.
