The Equal Protection Clause Protects Women and Minorities
The equal protection clause is a clause that was passed with the fourteenth amendment in, thinkwas 18 70. It says that all people don't need to be treated equally under the law. The intent and the public understanding of the constitutional amendment at the time was not too grant a quality to women and minorities in any meaningful sense.
