James' Strategy to Bring Priests to Europe Through a Marriage and Alliance With France

The 1621 Parliament had been dissolved in January 1622 without the required war subsidies, leaving James' strategy to bring priests in Europe through a marriage and alliance with France in ruins around his spindly little legs. Diplomatic activity from England was at bonkers level. Between 1619 and 1622, James sent ten diplomatic missions to German states alone. At one, an army of sugar soldiers were lined up for the put, provoking mutters that other muskets and pikes were required now.
