The Story of the Somerset
The boat was built what, 1905? Yeah, 1905. Didn't have an engine in 1928. PT Rose Richard put an engine in it. The Somerset sold aisle air to a US Navy captain that wanted to go sail across the Atlantic and he sailed across the Atlantic. He said that ruined his naval career in those days. They thought anyone crazy enough sail across theAtlantic, he won't let him have a ship. So they leave some another and about midnight they drive to Anderotch. This Bob said living on Spanish brandy and baked beans... I'll never argue with anyone again.
