The Church of the Nativity Is an Important Early Witness
The church of the nativity was built in 531 a d by justinian. You can still see some of the remains of the original constantinian church underneath it. When you walk inside, you literally are walking on the same floor planbet a foot below your feet. They've done a great job in the renovation xposing those mosaic floors that go back to the fourth century.
