Is the Fed Committing to 2% Inflation?
I think inflation does, if the Fed thinks they want to get to 2%, they're going to keep policy restrictive for a while. Real R-Star or real equilibrium rate, those are driven by productivity, demographics, savings, blood. I don't know if any of this has changed after COVID. Maybe it's not zero, but we're well north of that in terms of market raising of real data.
