Is It Possible to Stop Translating Word for Word?
When you stop translating word for word, everything you want to say in Chinese is something we all go through. A lot of learners that are intermediate or upper intermediate, they ask me things like, will I ever like be able to stop translating? Because I'm always translating. But what they're not remembering is they're thinking about the complex things they want to say and they're still translating for that. And unfortunately, it's a process that starts with the little tiny words and simple sentences and it slowly grows.
