Calcium Intake Could Increase Osteoporosis Risk

High salt intake could potentially cause an acidic environment. And so the body essentially to neutralize that can take base loads from something like calcium as a way to balance that out. There is an attenuating effect of calcium excretion from that high sodium intake, but that may not necessarily relate to preventing or providing a more kind of alkaline environment.
