Vitalik Buterin: The social contract of Ethereum at the time was completely autonomous. He says after the Dow hack, people are realizing that there is a human behind Ledger and they need to ask for their consent. As soon as like the software is touching your secret, it's up to you to authenticate yourself, he says. And this contract never changes; every choice we make is based on our real-world use case.
