Is the Writ of Habeas Corpus Suspended?

The writ of habeas corpus was a critical right that could only be suspended in times of war to protect the public engaged in ities. People do not like to be detained without any kind of sense of why they are being detained, at war or no war. So when this is suspended, the authorities keep detaines in custody until the suspension ends, until the writ is reinstated. And this person has basically no way of challenging this.
