The Benefits of Strength Training in Women Who Play Contact Sport

Women tend to carry their weight a little lower and maybe the strength that men naturally have at that top level makes them less susceptible to impact. There's no doubt that when you look at the male, female differences in performance, they are the smallest for things that involve leg. But if you want to find the biggest biological differences, you look at exercise or activities involved upper body force production and power. If you can introduce a strength training and a technique training course in women who are going to play contact sport, you will reduce the risk of concussions and significant head accelerations.
