The Life and Times of Claudius

Claudius was no military man, and didn't really contribute anything to the victory. It would be a few years yet before Rome would see another emperor who had a respectable military record. Married a total of four times, Claudius was always struggling with the women in his life. The wife he came into office with actually wound up secretly marrying another man behind Claudius' back.
