Is Religion a Critical Identity?
In the Muslim world, religion is still very public. It's still important identity. In India among the Hindu majority, Hindus tend not to proselytize right so you have one situation in East Asia where there is proselytization. But your individual identity is not tied to your religion too much. People change religions all the time. And it's just not that big of a deal.
