Democrats Motivated by Abortion in 2022
The Wisconsin race is a continuation of the two patterns that we saw in the 2022 midterms, which was abortion energizes Democrats to vote and candidate quality bites Republicans in the ass. And especially abortion matters to the kinds of Democrats who are likely to vote in a state Supreme Court election in an off year. A party to switch like this one in North Carolina has huge policy implications as well. If it's further restricted, either with a first trimester ban or a six week ban or even a full ban could have huge political implications.
