A common argument I hear in terms of the color blend approach to dealing with people of color is when you do that, it's like black erasure of the history that black people have been through. That argument that you're presenting is exactly what's wrong with the current view of racism. To say that you've got to identify people by their race because 200 years ago, there were great great greatgreat great great great great grandfathers were slaves was a collectivist element of racism. People are individuals. Your ancestors may have had tragedy. That does not entitle you to inflict injustices upon other people who didn't suffer that tragedy. You are to be judged by your actions and your volitional
